He wanted to disappear, to be inconsistent and fragile.

He woke up abruptly.

The room was absorbed in the cold grey light that precedes the dawn in winter. The fire had long since been extinguished; only the embers still weakly shone.

He crawled under the covers, looking for heat to melt away the nightmare that had interrupted his sleep.

"How are you?"

A deep voice and breath grazed his ear before arms brought him into a safe embrace.

“I am okay now. Sorry, I woke you up.”

“It doesn't matter. I would have woken up soon anyway.”

Harry turned to look at the man’s face and smiled, kissing his chin softly.

“It isn't dawn yet. I think that you could sleep a little longer at least. I promise to be a good boy.”

Severus thought that he was always a good one, but he didn't tell him.

In the last year, from the end of the war with the definitive defeat of the Dark Lord, Severus had done his mission to spoil Harry, to make him a part of his life as if Harry had always belonged to it.

Harry lay down on his back and Severus kissed his lips. Harry embraced him, the fingers among his black silky hair. Severus' tongue brushed his cherry lips, tasting them, and then he pressed and opened the boy’s mouth, taking possession of the warm dampness and the sinuous tongue that met his own.

“Severus, please, make me feel the past is long gone!”

Harry's voice was only a whisper, but it wavered slightly on Severus' neck. The man smiled.

“The present is passing by and the future is already here. I am on top of you and have the whole intention to use the time before breakfast to remind you that.”

Harry purred and Severus nailed him down to the bed with his weight, overhanging him, grazing the smiling face with his long loosened hair.

“And, spoiled brat, I think you will still remember that when we sit at the faculty's table!”

Strong legs and arms embraced him, and the young body clinged to his, arching, accepting, desiring him.

Harry had grown, indeed, but for Severus he will always remain a brat.

His boy to spoil, love, and save.

Severus pushed inside him with strength, drinking his moans and thinking no more.
